How do I set up Post-game stats channel?

Pick the channel where every finished game's box score is posted. The picker lives in the Gameday Hub, on the After the Game tab, on the card called The Box Score and the Written Recap. Beside it is a switch called Post the box score. It is on unless you turn it off.

Where to find it

On the website: click Gameday in the sidebar, then open the After the Game tab.

On your phone: tap More → Gameday, then pick After the Game from the Dashboard Sections menu at the top.

Set it up

  1. Make a channel your league can read — most leagues call it #scores or #box-scores.
  2. On the The Box Score and the Written Recap card, set Post-game stats channel to it.
  3. Leave Post the box score switched on.
  4. Press Save these channels.

That is the whole setup. From the next finished game onwards, the box score posts itself.

What gets posted

One card per finished game: the final score, the passing, rushing and receiving leaders, and the team stats behind them. It goes up on its own as soon as the game comes back from EA — nobody has to run anything.

The switch that stops the posts

Post the box score is what turns the box scores off without losing your channel.

Off, no box score is posted in the stats channel for any game. Your channel stays picked, so switching it back on starts the cards again with nothing to set up.

What carries on regardless:

  • Every stat is still recorded. Nothing stops being tracked.
  • Stat leaders, records, Player of the Week and Game of the Week all keep working — they read the same numbers.
  • XP for playing games is still paid.
  • The matchup's own game channel still gets its post at the end of the game. That one belongs to the game channel, not to this switch.

Only the post in the stats channel stops.

Common problems

  • Nothing has posted. The game has to come back from EA before there is a box score to post. Advance the week and export from the Madden Companion App, and check Post the box score is on.
  • The tab tells me to set something up first. After the Game needs your EA account linked and your game channels set up. The notice at the top of the tab links straight to whichever one is missing.
  • The written recap stopped too. They are separate switches on the same card. See Written recap channel.
  • A helper cannot see this tab. What a helper sees is set by the owner in Front Office on the League Access tab.
