How do I set up the written recap channel?

Leave that picker blank and the recap joins the box score in your post-game stats channel.
The switch beside it is called Post the written recap. It is on unless you turn it off.
Where to find it
On the website: click Gameday in the sidebar, then open the After the Game tab. It is on the The Box Score and the Written Recap card.
On your phone: tap More → Gameday, then pick After the Game from the Dashboard Sections menu at the top.
Set it up
- Decide whether the recaps deserve their own channel.
- Own channel: set AI reporter channel to it.
Together with the scores: leave AI reporter channel blank. Recaps post in your Post-game stats channel instead.
- Leave Post the written recap switched on.
- Press Save these channels.
Splitting them is usually right
The box score and the recap are different reads. The box score is a table people check; the recap is a story people enjoy. Leagues that keep the recaps separate get a channel that reads like a sports site — leagues that mix them get a wall of numbers with paragraphs buried in it.
Busy leagues split them. Quiet leagues leave the picker blank and keep it all in one place.
Read this before you turn it off
Off means no recap anywhere — not even the stats channel.
This is worth saying plainly, because leaving the channel picker blank does not stop recaps: blank simply sends them to the stats channel instead. The switch is the only real off.
What carries on regardless:
- The box score still posts, on its own switch.
- Every stat is still recorded, and stat leaders and records still update.
- The matchup's own game channel still gets its end-of-game post.
- Your channel choice stays saved, so switching it back on needs no setup.
Common problems
- Recaps are landing in the scores channel. The AI reporter channel picker is blank. That is what blank does. Pick a channel and save.
- Nothing at all is posting. Check Post the written recap is on. Then check the game has actually come back from EA — no finished game, no recap.
- The recap has somebody else's name on it. That is the reporter byline. Each game is given one of the bot's reporters, and the same game always keeps the same one.
- The tab tells me to set something up first. After the Game needs your EA account linked and your game channels set up. The notice at the top of the tab links to whichever is missing.
