How do I set up Power Rankings channel?

Pick the channel where the power-rankings board should be posted. You need this set if you post rankings from the Commish Center — that button has nowhere to send them otherwise.

Where to find it

On the website: Dashboard sidebar → Gameday, then the Power Rankings tab — the setting is Power Rankings channel

In the app: More → Gameday, then pick Power Rankings from the section dropdown

What it does

Franchise Hub works out the order itself — records, points for and against, and how each team has actually been playing — and draws the whole league as a board, best to worst, with each team's movement since last week.

You do not rank anything by hand. Post it once a week and let the arguments start.

The command commissioners use

Step by step

  1. Open the Gameday Hub, pick the Power Rankings tab, choose the Power Rankings channel and press Save channel.
  2. Advance your week and export, so the standings are current.
  3. Post the board — either run /power_rankings, or press Post to Discord on the Power Rankings card in the Commish Center (open it from the Commissioner Panel tile on your Overview page).

If you post from the Commish Center, this channel is required. The command can post right where you run it, but the Commish Center button has no channel of its own, so without this setting it has nowhere to go.

Who can see Power Rankings

Under the channel picker is Who can see Power Rankings, with three choices:

  • Everyone — anybody can see the board, including on the website.
  • League members only — your members only.
  • Hidden — nothing posts or shows — the off position. Nothing posts in Discord and nothing shows on the website.

Hidden now really means hidden. It always stopped /power_rankings, but the Post to Discord button in the Commish Center used to post the board anyway. It does not any more — every way of posting rankings honours this setting now.

This is the same control as the one on the Customization page's Visibility tab. It is shown here because this is the switch that actually stops the posts, and it used to sit three pages away from the channel it governs.

Common problems

  • The Commish Center button says to set a channel. This channel is not set. Set it and try again.
  • The button says Power Rankings are switched off. Who can see Power Rankings is on Hidden. Change it to Everyone or League members only and post again.
  • The board is a week behind. The rankings are built from your last export. Advance and export, then post.
  • A team is in the wrong place. The order comes from real results, not opinion — a team with a good record and bad point differential will sit lower than its record suggests. That is the model working, not a bug.
  • Teams that moved city show the old name. Relocations are picked up automatically for standard teams. If your league uses custom Team Builder teams you have to upload the logos yourself — see the Relocation tab on the Teams Hub.
