How do I set up playoff predictions?
Playoff predictions live on the Gameday Hub's Playoffs & Predictions tab. You post a whole playoff round for the league to pick, everyone taps a winner for each game in Discord, and correct picks pay XP automatically. There is a leaderboard for the season.
Where to find it
On the website: click Gameday in the sidebar, then the Playoffs & Predictions tab at the top of the page.
In the app: tap More, then Gameday, then pick Playoffs & Predictions from the Gameday sections dropdown.
It used to live inside the old Betting pages. It moved to the Gameday Hub, next to Game of the Week.
What is on the tab
Where Playoff Results Post — a Playoffs channel picker. Leave it blank and results follow the Game of the Week channel. The round posts themselves always go to the Game of the Week channel.
Post a Playoff Round — four buttons: Wildcard, Divisional, Conference and Super Bowl. Pressing one posts every game in that round at once, each with its own pick buttons. The badge on each button — "4 / 4" — shows how many of that round's games are already posted, and the line underneath says whether the round is ready, still waiting on your export, or all settled.
The matchup tables — every posted game with its away picks, home picks and a status: Voting (open), Closed (voting shut, waiting on the result) or Settled (final, correct picks paid). Each row has small buttons to jump to the post in Discord, close voting early, or re-run the settling on that one game.
Leaderboard — everyone who has picked, ranked by correct picks, with totals, accuracy and sweeps. A sweep is a perfect round. When you have more than one season of history, a season filter appears.
What members get paid
A correct pick pays 75 XP by default. To change it, open XP → Earning, find Correct Playoff Pick under XP For Winning Things, and press Save The Payouts.
Getting every game in a round right adds a 1000 XP bonus on top — that is what the 🎯 beside a name on the leaderboard means.
Members do not need a command. They tap the buttons on the Discord post.
Step by step
- Make sure your league is connected and you have exported after the regular season, so the playoff schedule exists.
- Set a Game of the Week channel if you have not — the round posts go there. If it is missing, this tab says Pick a Game of the Week channel first with a link that takes you straight there.
- Open Gameday → Playoffs & Predictions.
- Press the button for the round you want, for example Wildcard, and confirm.
- Every game in that round posts to the channel. Members tap their picks.
- Do nothing else. Each game closes and settles itself as it finishes.
- Post the next round when the bracket advances.
The bits that catch people out
The posts go to the Game of the Week channel. If you have never set one, the tab tells you so before you can post a round. Set it on the Gameday Hub's Game of the Week tab — the Public post channel on the Roles and Channels card.
"Schedule not exported yet" means exactly that. The bot can only post games it can see. Export from the companion app after the regular season ends and the round comes alive.
Post each round once. The badge — "4 / 4" — tells you what is already out before you press.
Common problems
- A game finished but nobody got paid. Press the re-settle button on that game's row. It is safe to press more than once.
- Members are changing their picks after kickoff. Press the close button on that row to shut voting early. Games close by themselves as they finish, but you can beat them to it.
- Correct picks pay the wrong amount. Check Correct Playoff Pick under XP For Winning Things on the XP Hub's Earning tab.
- The tab is missing. Check the Gameday Hub — if another commissioner set up your access, what you see is decided in Front Office → League Access.
