How do I connect my Madden league?

The connection to your Madden league lives in the EA Connection section on your league's Overview page. Everything real in the product — standings, schedules, rosters, results — comes through this connection, so it is the first place to look whenever the data seems old.

Where to find it

On the website: sidebar → Account → My Account, then open EA Connection

In the app: tap More, then My Account — that opens your league's Overview, where the EA Connection section lives. (There is no separate EA Setup row in the app menu.)

Step by step

  1. Open My Account and click the EA Connection heading to expand it.
  2. Press Connect EA Account (it reads Reconnect EA Account once a connection exists) and follow the sign-in steps.
  3. Sign in with the EA account you actually play Madden on, then pick the league this server should follow.

That's it — you do not need the Madden Companion App to finish this. Once EA is connected, your league updates itself: see Export regularly, below.

Sign in with the right EA account

The most common failure is signing in with an EA account that has no Madden on it. If you have several EA accounts joined together, it must be the one that actually owns the game and the league.

The league list comes from EA — we show exactly what EA hands back. If a league you expect is missing, you usually signed in with the wrong account, or the league lives on a different Madden.

Do I need the Madden Companion App?

No. Link EA once here on the website and your league updates by itself — about every 10 minutes, and again right after every advance. Run /export in Discord any time you want to force one sooner. The Companion App has nothing to do with keeping your data current; it is only ever needed for the draft-class file, which is a separate, PC-only step — see Uploading a draft class.

Export regularly

Connecting is not the end of it. The bot works from your last export, so standings, results and rosters are only as fresh as the last automatic pull. The section shows Last Signed In and Data Pulled so you can see both halves at a glance: whether the sign-in is healthy, and when data last arrived. If data looks stale, run /export rather than waiting.

New Madden year, or a dropped connection

EA sign-ins expire — it happens. The section tells you when it does, and the fix is the same either way: press Reconnect EA Account and pick the league again. For a new Madden year, reconnect and pick this year's league. Nothing is lost — your league keeps its XP, history and settings; only the live data feed pauses.

Doing this from your phone

The connect flow works on a phone with one extra wrinkle: partway through, EA opens a page that looks broken. That page IS the step.

  1. Tap Connect EA Account and sign in with the EA account that owns the league.
  2. When EA lands you on a page that will not load ("This site can't be reached" — that's normal), copy its full web address:
    • iPhone: tap the address bar once, press and hold, choose Select All, then Copy. On an iPhone the address bar only shows "127.0.0.1" — a single tap will not select the whole thing, which is why press-and-hold matters here.
    • Android / Samsung Internet: tap the address bar, tap the address itself to select it, then Copy (or use Share → Copy).
  3. Come back to Franchise Hub. Tap Paste from clipboard to fill the box automatically, or paste it in yourself the normal way.
TipEach link is one-use. If it sits too long or you paste an old one, you'll see "That link was already used." — press Connect EA Account again for a fresh one and paste that instead.

"Already connected to another Discord server"

A Madden league can be connected to exactly one Discord server. If you see this message, the league is still attached to its old server — the message names which one.

  1. On the OLD server, the league owner opens Overview, scrolls to the Danger Zone, and presses Disconnect League. Standings and rosters go empty there; settings are kept.
  2. Then connect the league on the new server as normal.

If the old server is gone or you cannot reach its owner, open a ticket in the support Discord and staff will unlink it for you.

Common problems

  • Everything connected but nothing updates. Run /export in Discord to force one now — exports otherwise happen on their own every 10 minutes and after every advance.
  • My league isn't in the list. EA did not return it. Usually the wrong EA account, or the league is on a different Madden than the one being asked.
  • It says the sign-in stopped working. Press Reconnect EA Account. Nothing is lost.
  • It says I'm on last year's Madden. Your sign-in is fine — reconnect and pick this year's league.
  • Data looks stale everywhere. Check here first. When this connection goes quiet the league keeps working but stops learning anything new.
