Where the file comes from

  1. In Madden franchise mode, export the draft class — it saves alongside your Madden saves.
  2. On that PC, open your Documents folder and find your Madden saves folder. The file's name starts with CAREERDRAFT- and has no file extension. That is the one.

There is no console version of this step. If your league runs on PlayStation or Xbox, one member with the franchise on PC (or a shared copy of the save) has to pull the file. Once it is uploaded, console members scout exactly like everyone else — the PC is only needed for the file itself.

The upload

In any channel of your league's Discord server, run:

/draft_class_upload file: and attach the file. You can add draft_year: to label the class with its year.

It is admin-only — members cannot run it. The bot reads the file in a few seconds and replies with how many prospects it found. Scouting switches on automatically with the upload, and the reply reminds you of the next two steps: run /scout_post to publish the scouting post in your scout channel, and members use /scout to browse the class and spend XP unlocking reports.

If the upload is refused

  • "Parse failed" or 0 prospects — the attached file was not a draft class export. The usual culprit is attaching a different save file from the same folder. Look again for the name starting CAREERDRAFT-.
  • No file attached — the command needs the file on its file: option; the bot replies with the full how-to if it is missing.

Nobody in the league has a PC?

You are not stuck. Open a ticket in the support Discord and say you need a draft class loaded. The team can upload one for your league — including a ready-made class if you just need prospects for your members to scout. This is a person doing it by hand, not a button, so it is not instant.

This is a per-season request. Each new season needs its own class loaded, so if your league runs on console, expect to open a fresh ticket when your next draft class is ready — just say which league and the season number. It's a real limit of console Madden having no way to produce this file on its own, not something being withheld.

If staff need to join your server to load the class and pasting your invite link gets removed with "Discord invite links are not allowed here", say so in the ticket — staff can add your server's ticket category to the allow list, or you can send the invite straight to the staff member helping you instead of posting it in the channel.
