How do I set up the draft class and scouting?
Upload the class from Discord with /draft_class_upload, then go to the Teams page, open the Draft & Scouting tab, and scroll to The Class Itself. That is where you switch Enable scouting hub on, pick the Scout channel, and set what each level of scouting costs in XP.
Where to find it
On a computer: in the left sidebar, click Teams, open the Draft & Scouting tab, and scroll down to The Class Itself.
On your phone: tap More, open Teams under your league's Hubs, then pick Draft & Scouting from the Choose a section dropdown.
The upload happens in Discord, not on the website
There is no upload button on the page, on purpose. Run this in your server:
/draft_class_upload file:<your draft class file>
Discord's own file picker handles the transfer. It is admin-only, and you can add draft_year:2027 to label the class. Once it has been read, the Current class card fills in — how many prospects, which year, and when it was uploaded. Then run /scout_post to publish the scouting post in your scout channel, or to refresh it after a new upload.
Step by step
- Switch on Enable scouting hub and press Save. When it is off,
/scouttells members it is off — the class is kept either way, so you can load next year's class quietly and open it up when you are ready. - Pick the Scout channel and press Save channel. The scouting post lives there, so members can start from it instead of remembering a command.
- Set the three tier prices on the Scout tier prices card, or leave the defaults — 200, 250 and 300 XP, which is 750 to fully unlock one prospect. Press Save tier prices. A badge on the card says whether you are on defaults or custom, and Reset to defaults takes you back.
What each tier reveals
Members run /scout, pick a prospect, and pay XP to reveal more, in steps that stack — they buy them in order, and moving up only charges the difference.
- Free — round, position fit and a quality circle.
- Tier 1 — vitals and a grade band.
- Tier 2 — the exact overall rating and the non-physical ratings.
- Tier 3 — Speed, the physical ratings, the hidden ones, and the exact pick.
Locked ratings show a padlock, and each member's unlocks are private. Below the settings, the Prospects table lists the whole class — searchable, filterable by position, every column sorts, and the Drafted column fills itself in from your league export once the draft has been run.
Common problems
- The section says no class uploaded. The upload is the Discord command, not a button on the page.
- Members say
/scoutis turned off. The Enable scouting hub switch is off — uploading a class does not turn it on. - The scout post in Discord is out of date. Run
/scout_postagain — it refreshes the existing post. - Nobody is scouting. Check your prices against what members actually earn. 750 XP to fully unlock one prospect is a lot in a league where XP is hard to come by.
- The Drafted column is empty after our draft. It fills in from your league export, so it needs an export after the draft has been run.
