How do I turn on Hide rookie dev traits?
Turn this on to keep a rookie's Star, Superstar or X-Factor trait hidden until their first season ends — on the bot and the website both. It makes the draft a gamble instead of a shopping list.
Where to find it
On a computer: in the left sidebar, click Teams, then open the Draft & Scouting tab and find the Rookie Mystery card.
On your phone: tap More, open Teams under your league's Hubs, then pick Draft & Scouting from the Choose a section dropdown.
What it does
Keep a rookie's Star / Superstar / X-Factor dev trait a mystery until their first season ends — everywhere the bot and the website show players. Adds draft suspense.

Step by step
- Open the Teams page and go to the Draft & Scouting tab.
- On the Rookie Mystery card, switch on Hide rookie dev traits until their first season ends and press Save.
- Do it before your draft. Turning it on afterwards hides something everybody has already seen.
- Tell your league, so a hidden trait reads as suspense rather than a bug.
What it hides, and where
Everywhere the product shows a player: player cards, comparisons, the website, scouting output. A rookie's dev trait shows as hidden until their first season is over, then appears normally.
It hides the trait, not the player. Ratings, position and everything else stay visible — you are drafting on what you can see, which is the whole idea.
Common problems
- My league already knows the traits. Then this will not put the genie back. It is worth turning on for next year's class.
- A trait showed anyway. Check the player is genuinely a rookie in their first season. A second-year player is not hidden, and a rookie with the Normal trait has nothing to hide.
- Members think the bot is broken. That is the one real cost of this setting. Announce it before you turn it on.
- Does it change upgrade prices? No. Prices work as normal. The trait is hidden from display, not from the maths.
- I can't see this setting. If you are a helper rather than the owner, you may not have been given the Teams page's Draft & Scouting area — the owner grants it in Front Office → League Access.
