How do I set up Daily challenges channel?
Pick the channel where challenge results are announced — wins, the all-done bonus, and challenges that ran out of time. Without it the challenges still run, but silently, which defeats the point. There is also a switch under that picker, labelled Post Challenge News. It is on unless you turn it off.
Where to find it
On a computer: in the left sidebar, click XP, then open the Daily Challenges tab. The picker is the Daily Challenges box on the Where Challenge News Gets Posted card.
On your phone: tap More, open XP under your league's Hubs, then pick Daily Challenges from the Choose a section dropdown.
What it does
Where the bot announces challenge results. Weekly challenge wins post here too, not just the daily ones.
The command members use
/profile — challenges live on their own tab of the profile.
Step by step
- Make or pick a channel members can read.
- Open the XP page and go to the Daily Challenges tab.
- On the Where Challenge News Gets Posted card, pick your channel in the Daily Challenges box and press
Save The Challenges Room. - Check Daily Challenges is switched on — its switch is on the Features page, under XP.
What gets posted here
- A member finishes a challenge. They get tagged, with the reward attached.
- A member finishes all of the day's challenges and takes the bonus.
- A member's challenges expire unfinished. They get tagged with what they missed and how close they got.
That last one matters more than it sounds. Each member sees exactly what slipped away — a channel that only ever shows wins makes the challenges look easy, and members stop treating them as a race.
The switch that stops the announcements
Post Challenge News sits under the channel picker on the same card. It is on unless you turn it off.
Off, none of the three kinds of announcement above are posted — not completions, not the all-done bonus, not expiries. Your channel stays picked, so switching it back on starts them again with nothing to set up.
Everything else carries on exactly as before:
- The challenges are still handed out every day.
- Members can still see them and complete them on the challenges tab of their profile.
- Every reward is still paid, including the all-done bonus.
Only the announcing stops.
Common problems
- Nothing is posting. Three things do this: this channel is not set, Post Challenge News is off, or Daily Challenges is switched off on the Features page. If the channel is not set, everything on this list is skipped quietly — the challenges themselves keep running.
- Only completions post, never expiries. An expiry notice only posts for a member who left something unfinished. A league that clears everything every day will never see one.
- Too much noise in general chat. Point this at a dedicated channel. Everything on this list goes to this one box.
- I can't see this setting. If XP is missing from your sidebar, either the XP feature is switched off on the Features page, or — if you are a helper rather than the owner — you have not been given that page in Front Office → League Access.
