Your license can move to a different Discord server, and your purchase history moves with it. If your old server is gone, the bot notices on its own and sends you a Discord DM with a Move my licence button — the whole move is a few taps inside that message. For any other move — you restarted your league, or bought for the wrong server — ask in the Franchise Hub support server and staff will send you the same message.
If your server was deleted (or the bot was removed)
You do not have to catch this yourself. The bot regularly checks for licenses attached to servers it can no longer reach, and when it finds yours, it DMs you: "Your Franchise Hub licence needs a new home." The message repeats weekly until the license is moved, so it will not slip past you.
From that DM:
- Press Move my licence.
- A list appears — Pick the new server. It only shows servers the license can actually move to (more on that below).
- A confirmation asks you to be sure. Nothing moves until you press Yes, move it.
- The bot confirms the move, and your license now lives on the new server.
If you would rather sort it out with a person, just reply in the Franchise Hub support server instead — the DM says the same thing.
Moving by choice
Maybe you set Franchise Hub up on the wrong server, or your league moved to a fresh one. The same flow covers that:
- Open a ticket in the Franchise Hub support server and say which license you want to move.
- Staff send you the same DM with the Move my licence button, and you pick the destination yourself — same steps as above.
One thing to know before you press Yes, move it: if your current server is still working, it loses Franchise Hub the moment the license moves. The confirmation warns you about this. Nothing moves until you confirm.
Which servers appear in the list
A server only appears in the picker when all three are true:
- The bot is already in it. Add the bot to the new server first if it is not there yet.
- You run it. You are the server owner, or you have admin rights there.
- It does not already have a license of its own.
If the server you want is missing, one of those three is the reason. And only the person who bought the license can move it — the buttons will not work for anyone else.
What happens when it moves
- Your purchase history stays attached. Billing, renewal dates and your subscription carry on exactly as before — you are not buying anything again.
- Your supporter role follows. If you have a plan role in the Franchise Hub server, it updates by itself.
- The new server starts fresh. The license unlocks Franchise Hub there, but league settings do not travel between servers — set the new server up the way you set up the first one. I run a league — what do I set up, and in what order? is the walkthrough.
On your phone
The whole move happens in a Discord DM, so the Discord app on your phone is all you need — same message, same buttons.
To see where your license lives afterwards: tap More in the bottom bar, then License (under Account). On a computer, that is Where do I check my license?.
If the DM never shows up
Discord only lets the bot message you if your privacy settings allow DMs from members of servers you share. If you are expecting the move message and nothing arrives, check that setting — or skip the DM entirely and ask in the Franchise Hub support server.
