How do I turn on Sportsbook (bets & parlays)?
Members bet XP on league games — single bets and parlays, including parlays that cover several games on one slip, with payouts when games finish. The switch is called Betting and lives in the Features Hub. It is part of the XP economy, so the XP switch has to be on for it to work.
Where to find it
On the website: open your league in the sidebar and click Features, then find the Betting switch.
In the app: tap More, open Features under your league, then find the Betting switch.
The command members use
/bet board is the front door: this week's games, a Bet button on each one, and a Change stake button on the slip for the amount. A member can press Add Game to put another game on the same slip.
Members also get a Sportsbook page on their My Team pages while betting is on.
Step by step
- Open the Features Hub and turn Betting on. If it says it needs XP, turn the XP switch on first — betting stakes XP, so there is nothing to bet without it.
- Open the XP Hub and choose the Betting section. Under Where Betting Happens, pick a channel for Where Members Place Bets and one for Where Results Are Posted. Leave the first one empty and bets post nowhere.
- In the same section, set the Bet Sizes — Smallest Bet, Biggest Bet, and Games In One Parlay — and save. Each card has its own Save button.
What turning it off changes
- No new bets or parlays can be placed, and the betting commands leave Discord until you turn it back on.
- Bets already placed still settle and pay out — nobody loses a bet that was live when you flipped the switch.
- Game of the Week keeps posting, and the playoff bracket keeps working. Betting used to take Game of the Week with it; it no longer does.
Common problems
- A score was corrected after bets paid out. Open the XP Hub's Betting section and use Settle A Week Again — pick the week and every bet on it is checked again, stuck head-to-head wagers included. It is safe to run twice; nobody is paid the same bet twice.
- Bets are not posting anywhere. The Where Members Place Bets channel is empty. Pick one under Where Betting Happens.
- The switch will not turn on. The XP switch is off. Betting is one of its children — turn XP on first.
- I can't see this setting. It lives in the Features Hub. If you help run the league but the Features Hub is missing from your sidebar, the license owner has not granted it to you — they can change that under Front Office → League Access.
