How do I turn on Activity Tracking?

Turn on Activity Tracking and the bot notices who is chatting and who has gone quiet, then hands out your Active and Inactive roles once a day. There are two switches — one in the Features Hub and one on the tracking card itself — and it needs both.

Where to find it

On the website: open your league in the sidebar and click Features for the master switch, then Moderation → the Active Check section for the settings.

In the app: tap More, open Features under your league for the master switch, then open Moderation and choose Active Check from the section picker for the settings.

Step by step

  1. Open the Features Hub and turn Activity Tracking on.
  2. Open the Moderation Hub and choose the Active Check section. Scroll to the Activity Tracking card and turn its own Activity Tracking switch on too — saving one switch does not flip the other, and the daily sweep needs both.
  3. Decide whether the bot hands roles out: Give The Active Role and Give The Inactive Role are separate switches on the same card. Leave them off for a week while you see what the numbers say.
  4. Open What Counts As Active on that card to set the thresholds: how many days of silence count as inactive, the number of days activity is counted over, and the messages, reactions, voice minutes and roster moves needed. Set any of these to zero to stop it counting. Click Save Activity Tracking.

The Active and Inactive roles themselves are chosen under Front Office → Special Roles.

Recording and acting are two different things

Tracking on its own only records. Nobody is labelled until you also turn on Give The Active Role or Give The Inactive Role — that split is deliberate, because you want a week of real numbers before anything starts labelling people. Once they are on, the roles are handed out once a day.

It counts messages, reactions, voice time and roster moves. Somebody who plays all their games and never types can still look quiet here, which is worth remembering before you act on it — the Roster Moves Needed threshold exists for exactly that person.

Active Check is a related but separate thing on the same page: a check-in post that owners tap to prove they are still around. It hands out the same Active and Inactive roles, but it has its own switch and its own settings — turning one on does not turn on the other.

Common problems

  • The numbers look wrong. It only sees channels the bot can read. A private channel where your league actually talks is invisible to it.
  • Nothing is being tracked. One of the two switches is off — check both the Features Hub and the card on Moderation → Active Check. And it starts from when you turn it on; there is no history.
  • Nobody is getting the Active role. Give The Active Role is its own switch on the Activity Tracking card. Tracking alone only records.
  • Roles are being handed out but they are the wrong ones. The Active and Inactive roles are picked under Front Office → Special Roles.
  • I can't see this setting. The master switch lives in the Features Hub. If you help run the league but a Hub is missing from your sidebar, the license owner has not granted it to you — they can change that under Front Office → League Access.
