Short answer
This is the Auto-Kick Unclaimed Joiners switch on the Features page. Off by default, and think hard before turning it on: anybody who has not claimed a team 24 hours after joining gets a DM warning, an hour to act, and is then removed from the server. Commissioners and anyone already on a team are never removed.
Where to find it
On the website: open your league, click Features in the sidebar, and find the Auto-Kick Unclaimed Joiners switch.
In the app: tap More, then Features, and find the Auto-Kick Unclaimed Joiners switch.
What it does
If someone hasn't claimed a team 24 hours after joining, the bot warns them by DM, waits an hour, then removes them. Commissioners and anyone already on a team are never removed. Whether this switch is on or off, the bot still keeps its pinned list of unclaimed teams posted.
Step by step
- Make sure you have open teams and a working claim board first. Removing people for not claiming a team when there are none to claim is the failure case.
- Tell your league it is on.
- Go to Features and turn Auto-Kick Unclaimed Joiners on.
Who is safe
Commissioners and anybody already on a team are never removed. The 24 hours starts when they join, and they get a DM warning with an hour to act before anything happens.
The warning has to actually arrive: if the DM cannot be delivered, the bot does not remove them — nobody is removed without being told first. And if someone is removed and rejoins, their clock starts fresh with a fresh warning.
When this is the wrong setting
If your league is full, everybody who joins is meant to be waiting — that is what the waitlist is for. Turning this on then removes exactly the people you want queueing.
It is built for leagues that want owners only and nobody hanging around. If you run a waitlist, leave it off.
Common problems
- It removed somebody who wanted to wait for a team. That is what it does. If you want people to wait, leave this off and use the waitlist.
- Somebody with DMs closed never got the warning. Then they are not removed. The bot only removes people whose warning was actually delivered.
- The 24 hours passed and nothing happened. The check runs a few times a day, not to the minute — the removal lands on the next pass after the hour's grace is up.
- Can I change the 24 hours? No. It is fixed.
- Does it remove them permanently? It removes them from the server. They can rejoin with an invite — and rejoining starts them a fresh 24 hours.
- I can't see this setting. If you are a helper rather than the licence owner, the owner controls which pages you see under Front Office → League Access. Ask them to grant you access.
