Short answer

Pays a member for bringing somebody who stays. The newcomer has to be in your server for a set number of days and actually play a set number of games before the person who invited them is paid anything. It is off in every league until a commissioner turns it on, and it lives in the XP Hub on the Earning tab.

Where to find it

On a computer: click XP in the sidebar, open the Earning tab, and find the Rewards For Referrals That Stick card. There is an On or Off badge next to the heading so you can see at a glance where you stand.

On your phone: tap More, open XP under your league's Hubs, then pick Earning from the Choose a section dropdown.

What it does

Paying somebody the moment their friend joins is easy to game. This pays them once the friend has proved they are a real owner: they took a team, they stuck around, and they played their games.

Nothing is paid on the join itself. Every join through an invite is recorded, two clocks start, and the reward is paid when both have run out.

It is a separate feature from bonus XP for invites, and both can run at once. Invite XP pays on arrival and takes it back if they leave. Referral rewards pay later, for staying.

Step by step

  1. Open the XP Hub and go to the Earning tab.
  2. On the Rewards For Referrals That Stick card, turn on Reward Referrals.
  3. Set Days They Must Stay and Played Games In A Row — how long the newcomer has to be here, and how many of their games have to be played properly.
  4. Set what the inviter gets: XP For The Inviter, and Free Spins For The Inviter if you want to give wheel spins too.
  5. Press Save Referral Rewards.
  6. Tell your league it exists. Nobody recruits for a reward they have not heard of.

What each box does

  • Days They Must Stay — counted from the day they joined. If they leave before it runs out, the referral is cancelled.
  • Played Games In A Row — how many of the newcomer's scheduled games have to be played back to back. A simmed game or a commissioner force-result does not count, and it restarts the run. So does a week your league advanced past without the game ever being played. A bye week is simply skipped — it neither counts nor breaks anything.
  • Top A New Owner's Team Up To — a welcome boost for the newcomer, not the inviter. Once they hold a team, that team's XP is topped up to this figure, once, paying only the difference. A team already above it gets nothing. Set it to zero to turn it off.
  • XP For The Inviter — paid to the inviter's own team when their newcomer qualifies.
  • Free Spins For The Inviter — wheel spins on top of the XP. Zero means no spins.
  • Which Wheel The Spins Are For — Bronze, Silver or Gold. It only matters if you are giving spins.
  • Season Spin Limit Per Member — the most referral spins one member can earn in a season. Zero means no limit. Reaching it does not stop them earning: further referrals still pay the XP, just not the spins.
  • Season XP Limit Per Member — the same idea for the XP. Zero means no limit.

The tracker

Under the settings is the Referral Tracker — every join through an invite since you turned the program on, and how close each one is.

It shows the new member, the day they joined, the team they hold, how many days are left, how many games they have banked out of the number you asked for, who invited them, and where the referral stands.

Three buttons appear depending on what a row needs:

  • Approve — for a referral being held for a decision. It goes back on the normal clock and pays when it qualifies.
  • Pay now — pays the inviter straight away, whatever the clocks say. Your override.
  • Cancel — no reward will ever pay for that join.

The bot checks the tracker every few hours, so a reward can land a little after the day it was earned rather than the moment it is due.

The ones it holds for a decision

Some joins are genuinely ambiguous, so the bot refuses to guess. They sit in the tracker waiting for you rather than paying or denying themselves:

  • Somebody who left and rejoined. A person can only be referred once, so the second arrival needs a human to say whether it counts.
  • Somebody who rejoined on a different member's invite. A newcomer only ever has one referrer, and now two people have a claim.
  • Somebody who has been in your server before, where the older invite reward already paid out for them once.
  • A referral that is ready to pay, but the inviter has no team right now. The XP is paid to a team, so there is nowhere to put it until they have one.

Press Approve to let it run, or Cancel to close it.

What gets paid, and where

The XP goes to the inviter's team, and they are tagged so they know why. It posts a receipt like every other XP movement, so nothing arrives invisibly.

Spins are added to their wheel tokens. If your league has the prize wheel switched off, the spins are skipped and the note in the tracker says so — the XP still pays.

Common problems

  • Nothing is showing in the tracker. Joins are only recorded once Reward Referrals is on. It does not go back and pick up people who joined before that.
  • Somebody qualified but was not paid. Look at their row. The most common answers are that the inviter has no team, or that the row is waiting on a decision from you.
  • The games counter keeps going back to zero. Simmed games, force-results, and games your league advanced past without playing all reset it. That is the point of the setting — if your league sims a lot, ask for fewer games in a row.
  • They earned XP but no spins. Either the season spin limit is reached, or the prize wheel is switched off in your league. The tracker row says which.
  • Somebody invited themselves on a second account. A member cannot refer themselves — no record is created at all. Two accounts owned by the same person is a moderation matter, not a settings one.
  • I can't see this setting. If XP is missing from your sidebar, either the XP feature is switched off on the Features page, or — if you help run the league rather than own it — you have not been given that page in Front Office → League Access.
