How do I use the Trades page?
Trading is run from the Teams Hub, on its Trades tab: the voting rules, which channels everything posts in, whether XP can be traded, the trade deadline, and the door through to the trades waiting on a decision.
Where to find it
On the website: press Teams in the sidebar, then the Trades tab.
On your phone: tap More → Teams, then pick Trades from the Choose a section dropdown.
What it does
Members build and submit trades in Discord. Everything that happens after that — the vote, the thread, the announcement, the veto — is shaped from this tab.
The tab opens with Trading at a Glance: how many of the four channels are set, who votes, whether the deadline is on, and how many trades are waiting on you. When trades are waiting, a notice at the top links you straight to Open trade moderation.
The cards on this tab
Each card saves on its own button.
- Voting Rules — Minimum votes required and Approval percentage.
- XP in Trades — Allow XP in trades, Max XP per trade, and XP reward per vote. This card only applies while the XP feature is on.
- Channels — four channels doing four different jobs: Trade-block channel, Trade-market channel, Forum channel (every new trade opens a voting thread here, unless public posts are switched off) and Announcement channel. Two of them have their own switch beside the picker — Post trades publicly and Announce in that channel — both on out of the box.
- Roles — Voter role (leave it empty and any owner votes), League Voice, Notify role and Vote-ban role.
- Trade Rules — Trade deadline active and Limit each team to one open trade.
- Trade Threads — Open a discussion thread on every trade (on out of the box) and Ping both team roles in the new thread (off out of the box). The details live in How do trade threads work?.
- Trade Limits — how often trading can happen: Trade Offers Sent, Approved Trades and Trade-Block Listings caps, plus Reset trade limits each season — on, the counts restart each new season; off, they carry over. It starts on.
- Trade Queue and History — two buttons at the bottom: Trade Moderation (waiting trades, their votes, veto and cancel) and Trade Activity (the full history and the per-team block viewer).
Step by step
- Pick your channels first, on the Channels card. Without a Forum channel no trade can open a voting thread — the tab says so in a notice until one is set.
- Set Minimum votes required and Approval percentage to whatever your league agreed, and press Save voting rules.
- Decide whether XP can be part of a trade, on the XP in Trades card.
- Leave the tab alone until something needs a decision. Then it is the Trade Moderation button at the bottom you want.
Turning Trades off
The master switch is in the Features Hub. Off, the Trades tab disappears from the Teams Hub and trading stops for the whole league. The switch means "this league does not trade", not "hide it for a while".
If what you actually want is to pause trading for a week, do not use that switch. Turn on Trade deadline active on the Trade Rules card instead: it stops new trades and keeps everything already filed. Trades already open keep voting.
Common problems
- The Trades tab is not there. Trades is switched off in the Features Hub. Turn it back on and the tab returns.
- Nothing announces anywhere. Every announcement needs a channel, and they are four separate channels doing four different jobs. Check all of them on the Channels card — Trading at a Glance counts how many are set — and check the two switches beside them, Post trades publicly and Announce in that channel. A blank Forum channel now genuinely means no public post; it used to fall back and post somewhere else.
- My change did not save. Each card has its own Save button. Press the one belonging to the card you edited.
- Members say the trade commands are missing. Discord caches its command list for a while after a change. It clears by itself.
