How do I use the AI Assistant page?
The assistant lives in the Extras Hub, on the Assistant tab. Turn it on and it answers members' questions — joining steps, rules, what week it is — by reading from channels you point it at. You choose where it stays quiet, how it sounds, and you can teach it your league's facts.
Where to find it
On the website: open your league in the sidebar and click Extras, then the Assistant tab across the top.
In the app: tap More, open Extras under your league, then pick Assistant from the Choose a section dropdown.
What It Reads
The first card is where the assistant gets its answers. It reads from the channels you pick, word for word, so its answers match your league rather than a guess:
- Joining Channel — where your exact league name and joining steps live.
- Rules Channel — it quotes your rules straight from here. When somebody asks a question, the assistant reads the posts in that channel that are relevant to what was asked, plus your newest post — and a newer post beats an older one. So the way to correct a rule is to post the correction as a new message; you do not have to delete or edit the old one, and you do not need to paste your rulebook into Extra Info as well.
- Help Channel — where it points anything it cannot answer.
- League Info Channel — answers "what week are we in?" from this channel.
- Announcements Channel — the latest advance, trade window and commish posts.
Extra Info is a box for anything not already posted in your channels, and Slow-Down Time is how many seconds before one member can ask again — it starts at 30.
The card's two switches:
- Turn The Assistant On — the master switch. Off until you turn it on.
- Answer When Someone Tags The Bot — lets members get an answer in any channel by tagging the bot, even silenced ones.
Once it is on, the assistant answers on its own anywhere except the channels you tick under Channels Where It Stays Quiet — open that list and tick every channel where it should never answer unprompted. Then click Save Assistant Settings.
How It Sounds
The second card sets the voice your members hear:
- Tone — Professional, Casual, Sassy or Playful.
- Roast Level — None, Light, Medium or Heavy: how hard it pushes back when someone gets cute.
- Answer Back When Disrespected — answers the insult first, then the question.
- Your Own Personality Notes — optional, up to 500 characters, added word for word.
Click Save Tone when you are done.
What You Have Taught It
The third card is where you correct the assistant — a league fact it got wrong, a way to talk, or something to avoid. Everything taught is listed there, with a Forget It button on each. Step by step
- Open the Extras Hub and click Assistant.
- Turn on Turn The Assistant On.
- Set the five channels under What It Reads — the more of them you set, the better its answers.
- Open Channels Where It Stays Quiet and tick anywhere it should not answer on its own, then click Save Assistant Settings.
- Pick a Tone and a Roast Level, and click Save Tone.
Worth knowing
- It is not a commissioner. It explains; it does not approve upgrades, settle trades or change anyone's XP.
- The assistant and its tone need an active license. The teaching card works on every plan.
- If it keeps getting a league fact wrong, teach it once rather than correcting it every week — that is what the third card is for.
