How do I use the League Ad page?
Where you write the recruitment post the bot sends out — the hook, the pitch and your selling points. Your open teams and a fresh invite link are added underneath every time it goes out.
Where to find it
On the website: sidebar League → Extras, then the Recruitment tab across the top. Your ad is the first card, Your League Ad.
In the app: More → Extras, then pick Recruitment from the Choose a section dropdown.
What you write
Four boxes, and every one of them is optional:
- Headline — the first line people read. Short and punchy.
- Tagline — one line that sells the feel of your league.
- Selling Points — one per line, up to sixteen. Starting each with an emoji reads best.
- Sign-Off — the small print along the bottom.
Then press Save The Ad. The preview underneath repaints when you save, so what you saved is what you see.
The parts you cannot write
Every time the ad goes out, the bot appends your currently open teams and a freshly made invite link. You never edit those and they are never stale — which is the whole point of sending the ad from the bot rather than pasting a screenshot.
The invite is generated at the moment of sending and lasts seven days.
The switch this depends on
Recruitment ads are off until somebody turns them on: open the Features Hub and switch on Recruitment Ad.
While the switch is off, the tab shows a warning and the ad cannot be saved — the banner points you to Features first, then come back and save. That is the switch doing its job, not a fault.
Sending it
Saving here does not send anything. The ad is sent with /league_ad in Discord, and posts in the channel you run it in unless you pick a different one. The command also lets you choose whether it goes out as a picture, as text, or both — the invite link always rides along as ordinary text, so it stays clickable wherever the ad is copied.
Common problems
- I saved my copy but nothing was posted. Saving is not sending. Run /league_ad in the channel you want it in.
- The save was refused. The Recruitment Ad switch is off in the Features Hub. Turn it on first, then save.
- The ad has no open teams on it. Then your league has none. That part is read from your league, not typed.
- The invite in an old copy of the ad has expired. Invites last seven days. Send the ad again for a new one.
- The settings will not save even with the switch on. The league ad needs an Elite plan — the card says so if your league is not on one.
