How do I use the Force Wins page?
Where you declare a winner for a game that could not be played — a no-show, or two owners who could never find a time. Your decision is written into Madden itself through EA's own tools, then recorded for the league.
Where to find it
On the website: sidebar League → Gameday, then the Force Wins tab across the top.
In the app: More → Gameday, then pick Force Wins from the Choose a section dropdown.
The same tool also sits inside the Commish Center, reached from Overview → Commissioner Panel — use whichever you are already looking at.
The two views
- Pending — this week's games that nobody played, each with a button per team.
- History — the decisions you have already made.
What forcing a win actually does
It writes down that one team beat the other, and that you decided it. That record is what the league runs on afterwards.
The result really lands inside Madden: the button writes it through EA's own force-result first, and only then records the decision here. If the write to EA fails, nothing is recorded at all and the page tells you why — you will never end up with the league and the game disagreeing.
Nothing is announced
Forcing a win posts no message anywhere. Older versions announced it, naming the commissioner who decided it, in whichever channel happened to exist — that was removed on purpose.
Quiet is not the same as untracked. The decision is written to History with the reason you typed — but only the ten most recent are kept there, so anything you will want to quote back in three months is worth noting down yourself as well.
If you want your league told, tell them yourself. That way you choose the words and the channel.
Step by step
- Open Gameday and pick the Force Wins tab. It opens on Pending.
- Find the game. Type a reason if you want one — it is optional, but it is what you will read in History next month.
- Press the button for the team that should get the win.
- The game disappears from Pending and appears in History.
Deciding games from Discord
You can also post a Force-Win Panel in a Discord channel — a weekly list of the games nobody played, with the same buttons. Set it up under Front Office → League Access, in the Panels In Discord section.
Common problems
- The game I want is not in the list. Pending only shows the current week, only games EA reports as unplayed, and only the regular season and playoffs — preseason is never listed. A game with a result already recorded will not appear.
- The list is completely empty. Either every game this week has a result, or your league is not connected to EA yet, or nobody has exported from the Madden Companion App recently enough for the bot to know what week it is.
- I picked the wrong team. There is no undo button. The game leaves Pending the moment you decide it, so you cannot simply press the other button. Sort it out with the two owners directly.
- It says the game has already been played. EA reported a result between the page loading and you pressing the button. The real result wins.
- The standings in Madden did not change. Then the decision was not recorded either — the write into Madden happens first, and a failure stops everything and says why. Fix what the message points at and press the button again.
- The tab says deciding games is part of Elite. It is — force wins need an Elite plan.
