How do I turn on Team-Role Autopilot?

Turn on Team-Role Autopilot in the Features Hub and the bot keeps every member's team role matched to the team they actually own in Madden, without anybody doing it by hand. It is the setting that stops the roles drifting. (This feature used to be called Role enforcer — same thing, new name.)

Where to find it

On the website: open your league in the sidebar and click Features, then find the Team-Role Autopilot switch.

In the app: tap More, open Features under your league, then find the Team-Role Autopilot switch.

Step by step

  1. Match every team to a Discord role first. Open the Teams Hub, choose the Team Roles section, and pick a role for each team in the table. The autopilot matches against that table, so a team with no role is invisible to it.
  2. In Discord, make sure the bot's own role sits ABOVE your team roles in the server's role list. It cannot hand out a role above its own.
  3. Open the Features Hub and turn Team-Role Autopilot on.

What it actually does

It compares who owns which team in your Madden league against who holds which team role in Discord, and fixes the difference. Somebody who took a team gets the role; somebody who gave one up loses it.

This is the difference between roles that are right in week 1 and roles that are right in week 14. Left to humans, they drift — somebody changes team mid-season, nobody updates Discord, and every ping for the rest of the year goes to the wrong person.

It never asks the league to fix its own permissions. Where it cannot do something, it repairs what it can and stays quiet about the rest.

Common problems

  • Roles are not changing. Most often the bot's role sits below the team roles in Discord. Drag it above them.
  • Somebody lost a role they should have. The bot's copy of your league says they do not own that team. Once fresh league data comes in after the change, it corrects itself.
  • A team's role never gets handed out. That team has no role picked on the Teams Hub's Team Roles section. Teams without a role are invisible to the autopilot.
  • It fought me when I set a role by hand. That is the job. Roles stop updating on their own only when the switch is off — if you want a permanent manual exception, the autopilot is the wrong tool for it.
  • I can't see this setting. It lives in the Features Hub. If you help run the league but the Features Hub is missing from your sidebar, the license owner has not granted it to you — they can change that under Front Office → League Access.
