How many quiet days before someone counts as inactive?
Quiet For This Long Is Inactive is how many days of complete silence before somebody counts as inactive. This is the simple one — nothing at all from them for this many days and they are marked. It starts at 14 days.
Where to find it
On the website: open your league, click Moderation in the sidebar, open the Active Check tab, scroll to the Activity Tracking card, and open What Counts As Active.
In the app: More → Moderation → pick Active Check from the "Choose a section" menu → the Activity Tracking card → What Counts As Active.
What it does
Sets how many days of silence before a member counts as inactive. Silence means nothing at all — no message, no reaction, no voice chat, no roster move.
Step by step
- Pick a number longer than a normal quiet spell. It starts at 14, which is a sensible place to leave it; 7 catches people on holiday.
- Go to Moderation → Active Check, open What Counts As Active on the Activity Tracking card, and set Quiet For This Long Is Inactive.
- Press Save Activity Tracking.
- Only then consider turning on Give The Inactive Role.
This is silence, not a low score
Two different measures live on this card and they are easy to confuse:
- Messages Needed — a bar somebody can fall short of while still talking. Falling short keeps them off the Active list, nothing more.
- Quiet For This Long Is Inactive — total silence for this long. This is the one that marks somebody inactive.
Somebody can be short of the message bar and still not be marked by this one, because they said something. Set this generously; a fortnight of nothing is a real signal, three days is a holiday.
Common problems
- People are being marked while on holiday. Raise the number. Anything under 10 days will catch normal life.
- Somebody talks constantly and was still marked. Check they are talking in channels the bot can see. A channel the bot cannot read is silence as far as this is concerned.
- Does this remove them from their team? No. It marks them. What happens next is up to you, and to the two role switches on the same card.
- I can't see the Moderation page. If you are a helper rather than the licence owner, the owner grants access under Front Office → League Access.
