How do I add or take away a team's XP?

Open the XP Hub's Overview tab and use the Give Or Take XP card: type an amount, type a reason, pick the team, and press Give Or Take The XP. A positive number gives XP, a minus sign takes it away.

Where to find it

On the website: press XP in the sidebar. The Overview tab is the first one, and Give Or Take XP is on it.

On your phone: tap More → XP, then pick Overview from the Choose a section dropdown.

What this card is for

Hand-corrections. A payout that did not fire, a bonus you promised in chat, a fine for missing an advance — anything where you need to move a team's balance yourself.

There is one form for any number of teams: pick one team for a single correction, or several to pay a group at once. The old separate pages for "adjust one team" and "mass grants" are gone — this card is both.

Step by step

  1. Under How Much XP Each, type the amount. Put a minus in front of it to take XP away.
  2. Under What It Is For, type a reason. It is required, because members see it on their receipt.
  3. Under Which Teams, search for the team and tick it. Tick more than one to pay a group.
  4. Press Give Or Take The XP.

In Discord, /xp add does the same crediting job with a team selector, and /xp adjust changes one team's balance quietly.

Every change is on the record

The reason you type is what everyone reads on the receipt. "Week 5 GOTW bonus" tells a story; a vague reason invites questions.

The What Moved Recently card further down the same tab shows the newest XP changes in your league, with the reason against each one — check there first when a member says their XP is wrong.

Taking a team below zero is allowed

If you take more XP off a team than it holds, the balance goes negative and stays negative. That is deliberate — a commissioner fining a team into debt is a decision the product lets you make, and it is not a bug.

Know what it means before you do it: while a team is below zero, everything that spends XP is refused — bets, claims, upgrades, buying spins, donating — until the balance is back above zero. The team has to earn its way out.

Common problems

  • The amounts are not doubled during a double-XP event. Correct. Amounts you type in by hand are paid exactly as typed — the multiplier only scales XP the bot pays out on its own.
  • No teams appear under Which Teams. Teams appear once your league is connected — the card says so. Connect your Madden league first, on Overview under EA Connection.
  • The whole XP Hub is missing. The XP feature is switched off — it is the XP switch in the Features Hub, and the Hub disappears entirely while it is off.
