The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the Tennessee Titans 31-13 in a decisive Week 17 clash, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season draws to a close. With both teams vying for momentum heading into the postseason, the Steelers proved too formidable, showcasing their offensive firepower and steadfast defense. J.J. McCarthy had a standout performance for Pittsburgh, throwing for four touchdowns while leading the team with precision. Breece Hall added a strong ground game, rushing for 129 yards and keeping the Titans' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Taylen Green of Tennessee threw for 257 yards, but his efforts were overshadowed by the Steelers’ offensive efficiency. Defensively, Pittsburgh’s dominance was underscored by Byron Murphy II, who recorded two sacks, and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, who snagged two interceptions, significantly disrupting Tennessee's rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when McCarthy connected with a deep touchdown pass, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Steelers and leaving the Titans struggling to respond.
