🏈 MADDEN 27 — LEAGUE RULES 1. LEAGUE SETTINGS • Difficulty: All-Pro • Quarter length: 6 minutes • Play cooldown: 3 plays on offense and defense before calling the same play again. • Coaches: Custom coaches only. No real-life coaches. • Playbooks: No custom playbooks. • Year 1 draft class: Realistic 2027 NFL draft class. • Injuries and wear and tear: ON, with adjusted sliders. Injuries are part of football. Draft accordingly and build depth. Multiple injuries in the same week do not create an exception to these settings. 2. NO CHEESE OR EXPLOITS No offensive or defensive plays, formations, or setups that exploit broken game mechanics. This includes manipulating blocking assignments to create free sacks or using glitches to break free on offense. Play legitimate football. Do not abuse Madden’s mechanics to gain an unfair advantage. 3. TIME-BASED CATCHING • Both users agree to turn it ON → Play with it on. • Both users want it OFF → Play with it off. • Users disagree → OFF takes priority. Both users must agree for time-based catching to be enabled. 4. FOURTH-DOWN RULES You may go for it only when at least one of these conditions applies: • You are trailing after halftime. • You are trailing by 3 or more scores. • You are at your opponent’s 45-yard line or closer to their end zone, with fewer than 3 yards to gain. • You are past midfield, attempting to ice the game, with fewer than 3 yards to gain. Fewer than 3 yards means 4th-and-2 or shorter. If none of these conditions applies, punt or attempt a field goal. 5. CHEW CLOCK Chew clock is allowed only during the final 2 minutes of the fourth quarter. It must remain off at all other times. 6. DASHBOARDING & TANKING • No dashboarding. Anyone caught dashboarding will be removed from the league. • No tanking. Intentionally losing games is prohibited. Confirmed tanking, including conduct reported by other users, results in removal and replacement. 7. FANTASY DRAFT The fantasy draft lasts 22 rounds, enough to select 11 offensive players and 11 defensive players. Pick timers: • Rounds 1–3: 45 seconds per pick. • Rounds 4–10: 30 seconds per pick. • Rounds 11–22: 20 seconds per pick. If you do not select a player within the allotted time, you will be skipped. Everyone drafting for their team must be in voice chat. If you are not in voice chat, you will be skipped. 8. STREAMING REQUIREMENTS The away team must stream the game. If the away user cannot stream, the home user may voluntarily stream instead. A home-team stream satisfies the requirement. If neither team provides a stream, the game must be stopped and the home team receives a force win. 9. TEAM & PLAYER EDITING • No relocating your team. • No editing player height or weight. • No editing player ratings or statistical attributes. 10. ACTIVITY & SCHEDULING Activity checks: • Posted every other week and open for 24 hours. • You must mark yourself active within that window. • Missing the activity check results in removal. Matchup communication: • Once schedules are posted, communicate with your opponent. • If one user is unresponsive for longer than 6 hours, the responsive user receives the force win. • If both users are unresponsive for longer than 6 hours, the matchup becomes a fair sim. • Repeated communication issues result in removal. 11. STAT LEADER DEVELOPMENT REWARDS Players finishing in the top 5 of a statistical category for their position are eligible for a free development upgrade. Qualifying categories: • Tackles • Sacks • Interceptions • Passing yards • Passing touchdowns • Rushing yards • Rushing touchdowns • Receiving yards • Receiving touchdowns Reward by current development trait: • Normal → Star • Star → Superstar • Superstar → X-Factor • Already X-Factor → 10,000 XP to spend wherever you choose. 12. INVITE & NEW-MEMBER BONUSES Both the inviter and the incoming member receive: • 3,000 XP when the new member joins. • An additional 2,000 XP after the new member stays beyond 6 league games. • Total: 5,000 XP each for a qualifying invite. If the new member leaves before completing the 6-game requirement, the initial credited invite/join XP will be revoked. 13. TRADE APPROVAL All trades require league approval before being completed. 1. Use /trade build to open the trade builder. 2. Add the players, picks, and/or XP included in the trade. 3. Save the generated trade image to your phone or computer. 4. Use /trade send and upload that image to submit the trade for league voting. Voting requirements: • 5 YES votes → Approved • 5 NO votes → Vetoed 14. CONDUCT No hate speech, racist comments, personal attacks, or targeted harassment. Keep the league clean, respect other members, and compete fairly. 15. END-OF-YEAR BONUSES Earn XP for making the playoffs and advancing: • Make the playoffs: 1,000 XP • Win the Wild Card round: +1,000 XP • Win the Divisional round: +2,500 XP • Win the Conference Championship: +5,000 XP • Win the Super Bowl: +10,000 XP Rewards stack! A Super Bowl winner earns 19,500 XP if they win every round, or 18,500 XP with a first-round bye.
