In a commanding display, the New York Jets topped the Miami Dolphins 42-10 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, this victory solidifies the Jets' position as a formidable contender in the league while leaving the Dolphins searching for answers after a disappointing performance. Baker Mayfield led the Jets' offensive charge, throwing for two touchdowns while Chase Brown dominated the ground game with a staggering 260 rushing yards, showcasing his explosive speed and agility. Miami's Patrick Mahomes put up respectable numbers with 257 passing yards, but it was the Jets' relentless offensive attack that kept the Dolphins on their heels, stifling any hopes of a comeback. Defensively, Brian Burns was a standout performer for the Jets, racking up four total tackles and matching that with four sacks, consistently pressuring Mahomes throughout the game. The Jets' defense set the tone early, and a pivotal interception by Minkah Fitzpatrick in the second quarter halted a Miami drive, allowing the Jets to extend their lead and seize control of the matchup. This win not only bolsters New York’s confidence but also serves as a stark reminder of their defensive prowess.
