In a decisive showdown in Week 16, the Seattle Seahawks topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 31-14, solidifying their playoff aspirations. The victory not only marked a key moment for Seattle but also served as a significant setback for the 49ers as the season winds down. Leading the charge for the Seahawks was quarterback Jalen Milroe, who threw for an impressive 357 yards and connected on two touchdown passes. Alvin Kamara complemented the aerial attack with a strong ground game, rushing for 92 yards, while the offense effectively moved the ball throughout the contest. Although Mike Evans of the 49ers had a standout performance with 131 receiving yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Seattle's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Seahawks were relentless, with Derick Hall making a significant impact by recording 2.5 sacks, disrupting the 49ers' offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hall's pressure on the quarterback led to a crucial turnover, allowing Seattle to extend their lead and gain momentum. The combination of a potent offense and a fierce defense ultimately propelled the Seahawks to victory, proving their readiness for the playoffs.
