In a thrilling season opener, the New York Giants topped the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 39-27. This Week 1 matchup set the tone for what promises to be an exciting 2026 season as both teams aimed to establish early momentum. The Giants’ offense was firing on all cylinders, led by quarterback Jaxson Dart, who threw for four touchdowns and delivered a standout performance. Malik Nabers was the star of the receiving corps, racking up an impressive 245 receiving yards, while Cam Skattebo added a solid 79 rushing yards to help keep the chains moving. Dak Prescott kept the Cowboys competitive with a hefty 385 passing yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Giants’ offensive firepower. Defensively, the Giants made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Abdul Carter stood out with two sacks, putting pressure on Prescott throughout the game. The turning point came late in the third quarter when the Giants' defense stifled a Cowboys drive, forcing a turnover on downs and allowing New York to extend their lead and ultimately secure the victory.
