In a decisive opening matchup for the 2026 season, the Cincinnati Bengals dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 37-9. The Bengals showcased their strength in front of their home crowd, setting the tone for what they hope will be a successful campaign. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers struggled to find their rhythm, leaving them with plenty to improve on as the season progresses. Cincinnati’s offensive unit was led by Joe Burrow, who managed to throw for 1 touchdown and effectively guided the team throughout the game. On the other side, Bryce Young put up solid numbers with 223 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Bengals' scoring. Tampa Bay's ground game faltered significantly, with Mike Washington Jr. leading the rushing attack with a mere 16 yards. Defensively, Taylor Mays was a standout for the Bengals, recording 6 total tackles and snagging an interception that shifted the momentum squarely in Cincinnati's favor. This critical turnover marked a turning point in the game, allowing the Bengals to capitalize on scoring opportunities and build their lead. As the Buccaneers look to regroup, the Bengals will aim to build on this impressive victory.
