How do I use Trades → Moderation?
The tab you open when something needs doing about a trade: veto it, flag it, cancel it, pull a player off the block, or close the trade deadline on the whole league.
Where to find it
On the website: press Teams in the sidebar, then the Trades tab, and press Trade Moderation at the bottom. (When trades are waiting, the notice at the top of that tab links straight here too.)
In the app: tap More → Teams, pick Trades from the Choose a section dropdown, then press Trade Moderation.
What this tab is for
At the top is the deadline banner — one press opens or closes trading for everybody.
Below it are three views you can flick between without leaving the page:
- Trade Block — every player currently listed, grouped by team, with their rating, age, contract years and cap hit, and what the team is looking for in return.
- Pending — trades waiting for a decision, both sides laid out side by side.
- Recent — trades that have already been approved, vetoed or cancelled.
The three decisions
Veto kills the trade. Both teams are told. Use it when the trade itself is the problem.
Flag asks for a reason and shows that reason to the teams. Use it when the trade might be fine but you want it explained or re-worked first.
Cancel withdraws the trade. Use it for mistakes — a duplicate, a wrong team, a trade filed against somebody who has since left.
All three post a note in your forum channel saying what happened and who did it. Vetoing and cancelling also close the trade's own discussion thread; flagging leaves it open, because the point of a flag is that the conversation carries on.
Closing the deadline
The banner is the same setting as Trade deadline active on the Settings tab. Press it in either place and both show the new state.
Closing it stops any new trade being filed. It does not clear the trade block — listings stay exactly where they are — and trades already filed keep voting to a finish.
It also announces itself: the bot posts a banner in your forum channel saying trading is closed and who closed it. That is deliberate, so nobody is left wondering why their trade will not send. With no forum channel set, the switch still works but nothing is announced.
Force-removing a listing
Every player on the block has a Force remove with a reason box. The reason is not optional and it is not private — it is shown to the team in Discord, so write something they can read.
Clear all listings at the bottom empties every team's block at once. There is no undo and every team has to list their players again, so it is a season-end tool rather than a tidy-up.
Common problems
- There is a warning about no trade forum channel. Moderation still works. What stops is the mirroring into Discord — vetoes, removals and the deadline banner have nowhere to post, so members only find out when they look. Set the forum channel on the Settings tab.
- A trade will not go away. Cancel withdraws it; veto refuses it. Both remove it from Pending. If it is still there, the action failed — the red banner at the top of the page says why.
- The counts on the three views do not match what members see. The page reads live each time it loads. Reload it.
- I vetoed the wrong trade. A veto is final and cannot be un-vetoed. The teams will have to file it again.
- I closed the deadline and members are still listing players on the block. That is correct. The deadline stops trades being filed; it does not close the block.
