How do I add ticket types?
On the Ticket Types card — the second card on the Tickets tab of the Moderation Hub. Press Add A Ticket Type, fill in the new card, and press Save Ticket Types. Where to find it
On the website: press Moderation in the sidebar, then open the Tickets tab and scroll to Ticket Types.
On your phone: More → Moderation, then pick Tickets from the Choose a section dropdown.
What each type has
- Name — what the button says.
- Emoji — sits on the button. Optional, but it makes a row of buttons easier to read at a glance.
- Button Colour — Grey, Blue, Green or Red.
- Short Description — a line explaining the type.
- Where Its Tickets Are Created — this type can use its own Discord folder instead of the usual one from the ticket settings.
- Who Answers This Type — who gets let in, on top of the roles that answer every ticket. On a brand-new type this picker appears after you save it once.
- Show This Button — untick to take its button off the post in Discord without deleting anything you have set up.
Eight types or fewer show their descriptions alongside the buttons in Discord. Past eight they tidy into a grid of buttons only. Most leagues need three or four.
Nothing is real until you save
Add A Ticket Type puts a fresh card on the page and Remove This Type takes one off it — neither has changed your league yet. Pressing Save Ticket Types is what makes it real. Leave without saving and you get exactly what you had before, removals included.
Saving also updates the buttons already posted in Discord. You do not post them again.
Common problems
- I removed one and it came back. Removing a card is not saving. Press Save Ticket Types after.
- My new type has no button in Discord. Either it was never saved, or its Show This Button switch is unticked.
- Its tickets are going to the wrong place. A type's own folder beats the usual folder from the ticket settings. Set it back to Use the usual folder if you did not mean to change it.
- Staff cannot see tickets of one type. Who Answers This Type is on top of Who Answers Tickets in the settings, not instead of it — but a staff member who holds neither sees nothing. Check both.
- The descriptions disappeared from the post. You have more than eight types, so the post switched to buttons only.
