What it does

/xp is the umbrella for the small set of XP utilities that don't have their own top-level command. After the Wave-13 consolidation, most XP flows moved out:

  • Buy attributes or dev traits → /upgrade
  • Claim daily XP → /claim
  • See every team's balance → /balance
  • See XP prices → /prices
  • Configure XP channels → /setup xp configure (or the dashboard)

What's left under /xp is the help text, team-to-team donations, and a handful of admin tools for crediting and adjusting balances.

How to use

/xp help                                       — Show how the XP economy works

  • /xp help — opens an explainer of how XP earning, spending, taxes, and tiers work. Run this if you're new to the league.
  • /xp donate — send XP from your team to another team. The recipient picks up the full amount; no tax is deducted on either side. The target team must have a mapped Discord role.
  • /xp add (admin) — interactive credit. You pass an amount and a reason, then the bot opens a team picker for you to choose which teams get the credit. Used for rewards and league-event payouts.
  • /xp adjust (admin) — silent. No public announcement, no receipts channel message. For fixing data errors, not for handing out routine rewards.
  • /xp wipe (superuser only) — wipes every team's XP balance and the ledger history. Irreversible. Requires confirm:true to run.

Common questions

Q: Where did /xp claim and /xp dev_upgrade go? A: Both moved into /upgrade. /upgrade type:Attribute covers the old attribute claim flow; /upgrade type:Dev Trait covers dev promotions. The daily-XP-reward /claim is a separate, simpler command.

Q: Where did /xp setup, /xp tax, and /xp convert go? A: /xp setup is now /setup xp configure. The tax controller and the XP-to-wheel-token converter were retired or moved to the dashboard. If your league relied on conversions, the dashboard's Wheel section is the new home.

Q: Where did /xp balance and /xp prices go? A: Top-level now — just /balance and /prices.

Q: Can I claw back a donation? A: No. Donations are final the moment they post.

Q: What's the difference between /xp add and /xp adjust? A: add is the public path — it posts to the receipts channel and uses an interactive picker. adjust is silent and is for fixing data, not for handing out routine rewards.

Q: Is /xp wipe really irreversible? A: Yes. It clears every balance and the entire ledger. There's no undo. Use it only on a fresh-or-broken league where you genuinely want to start the economy from zero.
