What it does
/scout opens the draft-class scouting hub. Browse the current draft class, filter by position, and unlock progressively detailed scouting reports on individual prospects by spending XP. The richer the report tier, the deeper the read — combine numbers, abilities, traits, and projected dev path.
/scout is the member-facing entry point. Admins manage the underlying draft class via /draft_class_upload and /draft_class_lookup, and can pin a static scouting embed in the scout channel via /scout_post.
How to use
/scout — Open the scouting hub
/scout prospect player:<name> — Jump directly to a prospect's profile
The hub uses buttons + dropdowns from there: position filters, sort options, and scouting-tier upgrade prompts. Each tier costs XP — the price scales with prospect rank and the depth of the report.
Scouting tiers
- Tier 1 (free) — name, position, school, basic measurables.
- Tier 2 — combine numbers, summary grade, dev-trait projection band.
- Tier 3 — full attribute spread, abilities, season-1 projection.
- Tier 4 (gold) — bust risk, comparison player, ceiling/floor analysis.
Common questions
Q: I scouted a player and now I want a refund. A: Scouting purchases are one-way. You can re-view a previously-scouted report for free for the rest of the league season — the hub remembers your tier.
Q: A prospect's grade changed mid-season.
A: Draft class data refreshes when the commish runs /draft_class_upload with a new FBCHUNKS export. Re-open the hub to see updated grades.
Q: How do I see the whole class as an admin?
A: /draft_class_lookup gives admins the full board with filters and pagination, without spending XP.
Q: Where does the scouting hub embed live?
A: Wherever your commish posted it via /scout_post. If there's no static embed, /scout still works — it just renders ephemerally to you.
