What it does
/lineup renders a clean depth-chart card image — your team's starting lineup at every key position with player names, overalls, and dev traits. Think MUT-style "Lineup" card: a single shareable image instead of a wall of text.
Useful for trade pitches ("here's my offensive line"), recruitment ("look at our young core"), or just scrollable end-of-season retrospectives.
How to use
/lineup — Render YOUR team's lineup (defaults to invoker's claimed team)
/lineup team:<abbreviation> — Render any team's lineup
The output is a public image embed — the whole channel sees it.
Examples
/lineup— your team's lineup, no args./lineup team:PHI— Eagles' lineup./lineup team:DAL— Cowboys' lineup.
Notes
- The card shows ~22 starter slots (offense + defense). Specialists (K/P) may or may not appear depending on space.
- Player names are pulled from the most recent EA league export; if your league hasn't exported in a while, the card may show stale starters.
- The card highlights X-Factors and Superstar abilities with subtle iconography.
- For a single-player visual (full ratings + abilities), use
/player_cardinstead.
Common questions
Q: Why is my backup QB shown as the starter? A: The card uses the depth chart from your last EA export. If you flipped the depth chart in Madden but haven't exported, the bot doesn't know yet. Re-export and re-run.
Q: Can I customize the colors / theme? A: Card theme follows your league's branding (set on the dashboard's branding page). Per-card overrides aren't supported.
Q: How big is the image? A: ~1200x800 PNG. Fits cleanly in Discord and screenshots well to social.
