What it does
/export triggers a fresh pull of your Madden league from EA — schedules, scores, rosters, stats — and writes it into the bot's database. Most leagues never need to run this by hand because the EA refresher syncs in the background after each league advance, but if your data looks stale (missing a week's scores, a trade isn't reflected yet), this is the manual override.
This is admin-only. The preferred surface is the dashboard at /commish/<guildId>/admin — it has the same three buttons (current / specific week / all weeks) with a progress indicator.
How to use
/export current
/export week week:<number>
/export all_weeks
current— pulls the current week only. Fast.week week:<n>— pulls a specific week. Use this when a past week's box scores didn't make it into the bot.all_weeks— pulls every regular-season and playoff week. Slow (15–60s depending on league size), but it's the nuclear option when things look very wrong.
Common questions
Q: How is this different from the EA Companion App export? A: The Companion App writes to EA's servers. This command reads from those servers and writes to the bot. If your league hasn't exported from the Companion App in a while, this command can't conjure data that doesn't exist yet — make sure your league owner exports first.
Q: I keep hitting an "EA auth failed" error. A: The bot's EA OAuth refreshes on a schedule. If it's stale, you'll see the auth error here. Check the dashboard's License & Status page — if auth is broken, the user who linked the league needs to re-authenticate.
Q: Will this overwrite my custom league settings?
A: No. /export only refreshes Madden game data (schedules, stats, rosters). Settings configured via /setup and the dashboard are untouched.
Q: Does this trigger achievement payouts or post-game notifications?
A: Yes — the post-export hook fires the same notifiers as an automatic refresher cycle. Use all_weeks carefully if you've already paid out on those weeks; the bot dedupes most achievements but some weekly bonuses can re-fire.
