What it does
/draft_class_upload ingests a Madden 26 FBCHUNKS draft-class export and stores it as the league's current draft class. After upload, members can spend XP via /scout to scout prospects, and admins can browse the full board via /draft_class_lookup.
Run this after each Madden offseason advance to refresh the scoutable class. Admin or commish role required.
How to use
/draft_class_upload file:<.fbchunks attachment>
file— the FBCHUNKS draft class export from your Madden 26 franchise. Attach it directly to the slash command.
The bot parses the file, validates the prospect records, and stores the class in Firestore under the guild's league ID. Existing class data is replaced.
Notes
- Parse + validate runs synchronously — expect a 5-15 second pause before the bot confirms.
- The upload is destructive: the new class fully replaces the previous one. Scouting purchases reset.
- An audit log entry records who uploaded and when.
- File-size limit: 50 MB (Discord attachment ceiling for non-Nitro). Larger exports are rare but if you hit the cap, contact support.
Common questions
Q: I don't have a FBCHUNKS file. Where do I get one? A: FBCHUNKS files are extracted by Madden's Companion App workflows + community tooling. The Franchise Hub support server has step-by-step extraction guides per platform.
Q: The upload finished but /scout says no class is loaded.
A: Check the bot's reply — if validation failed, the class wasn't stored. Common cause is uploading the wrong file type (Madden has multiple FBCHUNKS shapes — only the draft class shape works). The reply explains what was missing.
Q: Can I keep multiple draft classes archived? A: Not via the slash command. Only the current class is queryable; older classes drop out. Long-term archives live on the dashboard's draft history page.
