/claim

What it does

/claim is a daily XP reward for team owners. Run it once and the bot drops the league's configured reward into your team's XP balance — default 250 XP with a 24-hour cooldown. Come back the next day and click again to keep your streak alive.

The receipt posts to your league's XP receipts channel, and a short celebratory message shows up where you ran the command so the rest of the league sees the streak.

This is not the old attribute-purchase /claim. That flow was renamed to /upgrade. The name /claim now belongs exclusively to this daily-reward command.

How to use

/claim

That's the whole thing. No options, no subcommands. Run it and the bot does one of four things:

• Eligible — private "Daily claim banked — +250 XP" confirmation, plus a public "Daily Claim" message showing you, your team, the XP amount, your current streak, and your new balance.
• On cooldown — private "You've already claimed today. Next claim available in X hours" reply. The time updates live in Discord.
• Feature disabled — "Daily claim isn't enabled in this league. Ask a commish to turn it on in the dashboard."
• No team role — "You don't own a team in this league — daily claim is for team owners only."

A few things to know

• The amount and cooldown are commish-configurable from the dashboard. Default is 250 XP every 24 hours, but your league can set anything from 1 hour to a full week.
• Consecutive claims within the streak window (twice the cooldown — so 48 hours on the default 24-hour setting) keep your streak going. Skip too long and the next claim resets your streak to day 1.
• Daily claim is tax-free. The full configured amount lands on your team's balance.
• The XP goes to your team's balance, not your personal wallet. Spend it via /upgrade for attributes or dev traits.

Common questions

Q: I ran /claim and got "Daily claim isn't enabled." A: Your commissioner hasn't turned the daily-claim feature on yet. Ask them to open the dashboard, go to the Commish Console, and flip the Daily Claim master switch. It starts OFF on every new league.

Q: Why does the bot say I don't own a team? A: You don't have a team role mapped to you. Either your league hasn't set up team roles yet or you haven't been assigned to a franchise. Ping a commish.

Q: My cooldown shows "next claim available in 3 hours" — can I shorten it? A: Not from your end — the cooldown is a league setting. Ask the commish to lower it on the dashboard.

Q: Does the XP go to me personally or to my team? A: To your team's balance. That's where every XP credit in the league lands. You spend it with /upgrade and friends.

Q: I missed yesterday — did I lose all my streak progress? A: Yes. The streak resets to 1 on the next successful claim if you skipped more than the streak window. The XP reward itself is the same regardless of streak — the streak is purely a brag stat.

Q: Is the reward taxed? A: No. The XP tax engine only skims spending commands like /upgrade. Daily claim is a positive credit, so the full configured amount lands.

Q: Where does the receipt post? A: To the channel your league set as the XP receipts channel. If no receipts channel is configured, the credit still happens — just no public message.
