In a decisive Week 18 matchup, the Baton Rouge Flamingos topped the Phoenix Inferno 42-14, securing their position as a formidable force heading into the playoffs. With this win, the Flamingos solidified their playoff hopes, while the Inferno faced a crushing defeat that leaves them with questions heading into the offseason. Christian McCaffrey was the star of the show for Baton Rouge, racking up an impressive 131 rushing yards and finding the end zone multiple times. Meanwhile, Phoenix's Josh Allen had a solid outing, throwing for 151 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Flamingos' explosive offense. KaVontae Turpin also shined for the Inferno, leading all receivers with 80 yards, but the lack of consistent offensive support ultimately hindered their efforts. Defensively, Mason Graham was a standout for Baton Rouge, recording three total tackles and two sacks, disrupting Phoenix's offensive rhythm throughout the game. Andrew Mukuba's interception added to the Flamingos' commanding performance, illustrating their ability to capitalize on mistakes. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Baton Rouge scored back-to-back touchdowns, creating a gap that the Inferno could never close.
