In a decisive Week 5 showdown, the Austin Gunslingers topped the Las Vegas Lotus 24-7, solidifying their position in the league with this commanding victory. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Gunslingers demonstrated their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity throughout the game. Leading the charge for Austin was quarterback Phillip Graham, who threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns, effectively managing the game and spreading the ball around. While the Gunslingers' passing attack was efficient, it was their ability to control the field that kept the Lotus at bay. Evan Engram contributed significantly with 51 receiving yards, helping to keep the chains moving for Austin. Defensively, the Gunslingers were relentless, with Dax Hill snagging an interception that turned the momentum firmly in their favor. Drake Thomas anchored the defense with four total tackles, ensuring the Lotus struggled to find their rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hill's interception set up a short scoring drive, allowing Austin to pull ahead and maintain control for the remainder of the contest.
