In a commanding performance, the Albuquerque Vultures topped the Ancgorage Frost 38-0 in Week 9 of the 2027 season, maintaining their momentum in the playoff race. The Vultures' dominant display showcased their offensive prowess while dealing a significant blow to the Frost's hopes of a strong finish this season. Jon Langford was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 316 yards and four touchdowns, effectively dismantling the Frost's defense. Caleb Douglas emerged as his primary target, racking up 104 receiving yards, further solidifying the Vultures’ aerial attack. Despite a lackluster performance from the Frost’s offense, Trevor Lawrence managed a mere 25 rushing yards, failing to ignite any offensive spark. On the defensive side, the Vultures stifled Ancgorage's efforts, with Kris Jenkins Jr. making his mark with a sack and JaWuan Griffin snagging an interception. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Langford connected with Douglas for a touchdown, pushing the lead to 14-0 and putting the Frost in a hole they could never climb out of. The Vultures' defense played a critical role in maintaining their shutout, limiting the Frost to just 25 rushing yards and keeping their passing attack at bay.
