In a decisive victory, the Charleston Marauders topped the Baton Rouge Flamingos 40-16 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Marauders demonstrated their dominance on both sides of the ball, solidifying their early-season momentum with this commanding performance. Caleb Williams led the way for Charleston, throwing for one touchdown and contributing to a potent offensive display. Kenny Gainwell showcased his skills on the ground, rushing for 91 yards, while Brian Thomas Jr. was a standout in the receiving game, racking up 108 yards. Together, they orchestrated a balanced attack that kept the Flamingos' defense on their heels all game long. Defensively, the Marauders were equally impressive, with Glenn McLendon recording 1.5 sacks and Kamren Kinchens snagging an interception that shifted the game's momentum. The turning point came when Kinchens' interception set up a quick touchdown drive, extending Charleston's lead and demoralizing Baton Rouge. Overall, the Marauders' defense stifled the Flamingos' efforts, allowing them to secure a comfortable win.
