In a decisive Week 1 matchup of the 2026 season, the South Carolina Storm secured a commanding 31-7 victory over the Harrisburg Willows. The Storm showcased their dominance right out of the gate, setting the tone for what could be a promising season ahead. Jared Goff was the standout for South Carolina, throwing for 231 yards and three touchdowns, effectively leading his team’s offensive charge. Despite a strong performance from Harrisburg’s Ashton Jeanty, who rushed for 114 yards, the Storm's passing game proved too much for the Willows to handle. Enrique Wolfe contributed with key receptions, although his yardage was limited to just 31 yards. On the defensive side, the Storm's impact was felt throughout the game, highlighted by Joey Bosa's sack and Jourdan Lewis's interception, which helped stifle any momentum Harrisburg attempted to build. The turning point came when Lewis picked off a pass, shifting the momentum firmly in favor of South Carolina and allowing them to extend their lead. Jadon Canady led the Willows with three total tackles, but it was not enough to counter the Storm's relentless assault.
