The Seattle Seahawks kicked off the 2026 season with a commanding 28-7 victory over the New England Patriots. With both teams looking to establish themselves early in the year, the Seahawks showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving little doubt about their intentions in the opening week. Quarterback Jalen Milroe stole the spotlight for Seattle, throwing for two touchdowns and guiding his team effectively throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Drake Maye of the Patriots had a solid outing, throwing for 205 yards and adding 44 rushing yards to his performance, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Seahawks' offensive firepower. Mack Hollins led the Patriots in receiving with 77 yards, but their efforts fell short against a well-rounded Seattle attack. Defensively, the Seahawks made their presence felt, with Kam Chancellor leading the charge with five total tackles. The turning point came when Drake Thomas sacked Maye, shifting momentum firmly in Seattle's favor and setting up a touchdown shortly thereafter. Despite Marcus Jones snagging an interception for New England, the Seahawks' defense stifled any potential comeback, ensuring a comfortable season-opening win.
