In a commanding performance, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 26-7 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. This victory not only solidified the 49ers' position in the playoff race but also showcased their offensive prowess against a struggling Falcons squad. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 283 yards and two touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the offense throughout the game. Christian McCaffrey added a solid ground game with 74 rushing yards, while George Kittle was a standout in the passing attack, racking up an impressive 183 receiving yards. The combination of Purdy's precision and Kittle's big-play ability proved too much for the Falcons to handle. Defensively, the 49ers were equally impressive, with Fred Warner snagging an interception that shifted the momentum firmly in San Francisco's favor. The turning point came late in the first half when Warner's pick led to a touchdown drive, extending the 49ers' lead to 20-7 and effectively putting the game out of reach for Atlanta. The Falcons struggled to mount any significant offense, managing just one touchdown against a stout 49ers defense that consistently pressured their quarterback.
