The Pittsburgh Steelers topped the New Orleans Saints 41-26 in a Week 7 showdown of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory marks a crucial win for the Steelers as they continue to build momentum in a competitive conference. Pittsburgh's offense was firing on all cylinders, led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns. Jaylen Warren added a strong ground presence with 97 rushing yards, while DK Metcalf was a standout in the passing game, racking up 129 receiving yards. This explosive performance from the offense allowed the Steelers to pull away and maintain control throughout the game. Defensively, the Saints struggled to contain the Steelers’ high-powered offense, despite Kool-Aid McKinstry leading the team with 11 total tackles. The turning point came when Pittsburgh scored two quick touchdowns in the second quarter, effectively shifting the momentum. Although Vernon Broughton recorded a sack for New Orleans, it wasn’t enough to slow down the relentless Steelers attack, leaving the Saints to regroup as they head into their next matchup.
