In a dominant performance, the Washington Commanders topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 49-14 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The Commanders entered the game looking to solidify their position in the playoff race, and they did just that with an emphatic victory over a struggling opponent. Quarterback Jayden Daniels was the standout for Washington, throwing for 314 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers. Terry McLaurin was his primary target, racking up 133 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the offensive explosion. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey struggled to find his rhythm for San Francisco, managing just 30 rushing yards as the 49ers' offense faltered throughout the match. Defensively, the Commanders were relentless, led by Trey Amos, who recorded two interceptions, turning the tide in their favor. Nick Cross also contributed with five total tackles, ensuring the 49ers' drives were consistently stifled. The turning point came early in the second half when Amos's second interception set up another quick score for Washington, effectively sealing the game and leaving San Francisco with little chance to mount a comeback.
