In a crucial Week 13 matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Buffalo Bills 27-16, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for postseason positioning, the Patriots delivered a strong performance to secure the win at home. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for 197 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. On the receiving end, Romeo Doubs made a significant impact with 83 yards, providing Maye with a reliable target throughout the game. Despite a solid effort from Buffalo’s James Cook III, who racked up 75 rushing yards, the Bills struggled to find rhythm offensively. Defensively, the Patriots were formidable, with Kevin Byard III recording a game-high ten tackles to stifle Buffalo's attack. The turning point came when Robert Spillane intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive by the Bills and shifting momentum firmly in New England's favor. Greg Rousseau made his presence felt for Buffalo with 1.5 sacks, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Patriots’ defensive prowess.
