In a dominating performance to open the 2027 season, the Tennessee Titans toppled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 59-14. The Titans' explosive offense set the tone early, leaving the Buccaneers struggling to keep pace in this Week 1 matchup. Quarterback Taylen Green was the standout star for Tennessee, throwing for an impressive 305 yards and five touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to lead the team effectively. Terrance Ferguson emerged as his favorite target, racking up 117 receiving yards, while Gavin Sawchuk contributed on the ground with 54 rushing yards, rounding out a well-balanced offensive attack. Defensively, the Titans were equally impressive, with Antoine Winfield Jr. leading the team in tackles with four. Jared Verse added pressure with a sack, but it was Sonny Styles' two interceptions that truly shifted momentum, providing crucial turnovers that the Titans capitalized on. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Styles picked off a pass, setting up another touchdown that extended Tennessee's lead and effectively put the game out of reach for the Buccaneers.
