The New York Jets cruised to a commanding 52-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 2 of the 2027 season, asserting their dominance in the AFC East. With this win, the Jets showcased their offensive firepower and sent a clear message that they are contenders this season. Baker Mayfield led the charge for New York, throwing for an impressive 307 yards and five touchdowns, proving to be a nightmare for the Bills’ secondary. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs tore through the defense with a staggering 196 rushing yards, while Chris Brazzell II was a favorite target, racking up 156 receiving yards. This trio was instrumental in keeping the Jets' offense humming throughout the game. Defensively, the Bills struggled to contain the Jets' explosive plays, despite Myles Garrett's solid performance, which included four total tackles and one sack. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Mayfield connected with Brazzell II for a 75-yard touchdown, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Jets. The Bills' inability to respond effectively on defense allowed New York to pull away and secure the victory.
