In a tightly contested matchup, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 21-17 in Week 3 of the 2027 season. Both teams were looking to make a statement, but it was the Bears who ultimately came out on top, improving their record as they continue to build momentum early in the season. Vikings quarterback Joe Milton had a standout performance, throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Despite the loss, Milton found a reliable target in Germie Bernard, who racked up 121 receiving yards and kept Minnesota competitive throughout the game. However, the Bears' defense managed to stifle the Vikings' late-game efforts, which proved crucial in sealing the victory. On the defensive side, the Bears were led by Brandon Cisse, who recorded 10 total tackles, and Yaya Diaby, who added 1.5 sacks, putting pressure on Milton when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Diaby's sack forced a critical third down, leading to a failed conversion for Minnesota. The Bears' defense held firm in the final moments, ensuring their hard-fought win was secure.
