In a surprising defensive showdown, the Cleveland Browns narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 2-0 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, this low-scoring affair showcased the importance of defense in a game where offensive production was stifled. Houston's Joe Burrow made a strong case for his team with a standout performance, throwing for 332 yards and finding the end zone five times. However, it was the Browns’ Jarquez Hunter who led the ground game with a modest 32 rushing yards, while Terry McLaurin topped the receiving charts for Houston with 111 yards, but the Texans could not capitalize on their offensive opportunities. Defensively, the game was dominated by Cleveland's ability to stymie Houston's scoring, highlighted by Derrick Moore's impactful sack. The turning point came in the second half when the Browns' defense tightened, forcing critical turnovers and preventing the Texans from converting red-zone opportunities. With both teams' defenses shining, Cleveland's edge in key moments secured the victory in a contest that will be remembered for its defensive prowess.
