In a tightly contested NFC East showdown, the New York Giants topped the Philadelphia Eagles 17-14 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. The victory not only boosts the Giants' playoff aspirations but also intensifies the rivalry between these two franchises, each striving for supremacy in a competitive division. Bo Nix led the Eagles' offense with an impressive performance, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns. However, it was Ashton Jeanty who made a significant impact on the ground for the Giants, racking up 97 rushing yards. Amon-Ra St. Brown was Nix's top target, contributing 80 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win for Philadelphia. Defensively, Edgerrin Cooper was a standout for the Eagles, recording 10 total tackles and one sack, but the Giants' defense held firm when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, as New York's defense stifled a potential game-tying drive from Philadelphia, allowing the Giants to escape with a crucial victory.
